Pride & Prejudice with Kiera Knightly (Elizabeth Bennet) and Matthew Macfayden (Mr. Darcy) is being re-released in movie theaters for its 20th anniversary! For those who know the story and movie, that's worth getting excited about.
Written by Jane Austin and first published in 1813, it's a very romantic period piece set in England that is wonderful to enjoy as a book or by watching the film. If you never saw it or read the book, you won’t be disappointed! If you have seen the movie already or read the book, you know you are in for a treat.
This movie begs to be turned into an excuse and a theme for a Girls Night Out. Wear one of your favorite summer dresses, empire waisted if you’ve got one, go have a nice feminine meal and then head to the theatre to watch the antics of the Bennet women, enjoy the beautiful costumes and film locations, and, most of all, lose yourselves in the love story.
Or make it a Girls Night "In" by having your friends over, enjoy elegant drinks and appetizers and pile onto the couch to watch the film at home. That would be just as lovely and memorable.

It’s showing at AMC theatres starting April 18th (Surprise, Westgate, Arrowhead 14)
Harkins Theatres are making a special event out of it on April 17 at their Camelview at Fashion Square location! https://www.harkins.com/events-and-series/pride-and-prejudice-movie-party. Closer to home it’s also opening April 18th (just the film, no party) at Park West and Arrowhead Fountains. https://www.harkins.com/
